GoodSync (Kentwood Vision System)
Description
GoodSync is a backup and file synchronization program. This program was chosen to initiate the transfer of photos files from local PCs on vision system production equipment to a NAS in the data center. This product was chosen was the original process using Windows Task Scheduler and batch scripts was not stable and consistent enough. Allowing the local Vision PC hard drive to fill up will result in a production halt. Photo data has needs a retention period of 4 months for quality control purposes. iSCSI LUNs were created on the Netgear NAS and attached to KWMGOODSYNC01 for storage of the photos.

- Jobs run in 20 minute intervals, GoodSync will perform a "move" (essentially a "cut and paste") from the "local_save" folder on the Vision PC to an iSCSI LUN on KWMGOODSYNC01. Each production cell has it's own LUN for photo storage.
